My 5 string banjo has the 5th. string tuned at the head and not halfway down the neck as per more modern banjos.
A plate on it reads:::--- J. WERRO
                               39 ESSEX ROAD
                                 LONDON. N.

Can anyone give me any information on this firm ie. dates etc.
