Jim Lansford has been a highly respected old time musician here in the Arkansas and Missouri Ozarks for several decades. About an hour ago I learned that Jim had lost his battle to cancer a couple of weeks ago and that friend are gathering on Saturday for the scattering of his ashes. I became a friend and admirer when Jim lived here in Stone County, Arkansas. He later moved to Stone County, Missouri and his circle of admirers expanded greatly. His life and music partner Kim is also an exceptional person and musician and has our deepest sympathy in this difficult time.

Farewell

Someone posted several videos of Jim and Kim on Youtube and though this is not quite the same as their live performances and recordings it is an opportunity to see and hear Jim and Kim with fiddle, guitar, banjo, and some very heartfelt singing.
