Well, John, it's like this. Avidemux won't load the type of video files we have. AVDC loads the files and appears to do color correction but when we actually try to correct the color as shown in the tutorial, nothing happens.

FileLab loads the files and we can apply the "standard" color correction but the result is not very good. There's a custom color correction but the window in which it's done is not properly displayed in Firefox. When we switched to IE, the software wouldn't open because we have a 64-bit browser. When we tried it with the 32-bit version, it opened and actually allowed some color correction but the rest was improperly displayed in the window so it wouldn't work. In any event, FileLab won't let us save the file unless we give it permission to get into our Facebook page or Gmail account and we won't do that.
