I don't know a name for this. Everyone is given a lot of pieces of paper and writes names on them (alive, dead, real or fiction). Fold over, put in hat. Each person is paired with a partner across the table. Turns last one minute. When it's your turn you pull out a name, then describe it so that your partner guesses it: but you mustn't use any proper names, or adjectives derived from proper names. If they guess it you can take another name. If it's hopeless you can put a name back and take another. 'Rhymes with' is not allowed. When the minute's up you keep any names your partner has guessed. At the end, the pair with most names is the winner.

Also: pass the parcel, but instead of sweets in between the layers there are forfeits (e.g. hop all round the room, sing a song).
