The Night Watch (early music duo) have 4 forthcoming public events, 3 of which are our special programme for winter, Drive the Cold Winter Away. It would be grand to see you there. Please, 'Catters, do come and say 'hello'. As always, in the interval we'll be around to meet the audience to discuss our period instruments and the music we play.

Thursday 6 December: Drive the Cold Winter Away at the Midlands Arts Centre, Birmingham
The Night Watch's annual rolling programme of mediaeval and renaissance music for winter. You'll hear voices, recorders, lutes, shawms, gittern, rebec, oud, crumhorn, cittern, pipe and tabor, 4 course guitar, cornamuse, orpharion, gemshorn, bagpipes, simfony, psaltery, trompette, and percussion – all played by just 2 people. Brawls and broadsides. Rounds and canons. Period music, period instruments, period clothes and period jokes.

Friday 14 December: Drive the Cold Winter Away at the Black Diamond Folk Club, Birmingham
The Night Watch's winter programme (as 6 December above) at the wonderful Black Diamond Folk Club. The Globe, Blews St, Birmingham, B6 4HN, 8.30pm.

Tuesday 18 December: Drive the Cold Winter Away at St. Chad's, Stafford
