In case you were wondering what has become of Meredydd Evans in the 59 years that have lapsed since he recorded Welsh Folk Songs for Smithsonian Folkways, I have good news. Mered and Phyllis Kinney are both in their 90s and are living in the village of Cwmystwyth in the wilds of Ceredigion. A New CD and 23-folksong book called Ffylantin-tw! have just been published as a tribute to the invaluable work which Mered and Phyllis have contributed, and the book and CD were launched at Llandow National Eisteddfod - Sian West Wales had a brilliant hand in that!
