Mick Tems Holly Tree - Welsh song and dance (12) RE: Holly Tree - Welsh song and dance 26 Nov 12

In case you were wondering what has become of Meredydd Evans in the 59 years that have lapsed since he recorded Welsh Folk Songs for Smithsonian Folkways, I have good news. Mered and Phyllis Kinney are both in their 90s and are living in the village of Cwmystwyth in the wilds of Ceredigion. A New CD and 23-folksong book called Ffylantin-tw! have just been published as a tribute to the invaluable work which Mered and Phyllis have contributed, and the book and CD were launched at Llandow National Eisteddfod - Sian West Wales had a brilliant hand in that! Here's the September edition of Folkwales Online Magazine: here
