Within 5 years from now, and possibly a lot sooner, 3-D printing will have had an impact on the industrialized world greater than the invention of the steam engine, or the microchip. Forget the primitive limited systems available at present, within a few years the technology, and the social and political effects of that technology, will have evolved to a degree which is almost unimaginable at present.
