2012 will be memorable for me as the year three of my friends and my car died. (Not all at the same time, but still.) I'm not going to be too sad when it ends.

On the other hand, my sister quit smoking. My friend Mike is engaged to a lovely lady. Mitt Romney isn't going to be president, so it wasn't all bad.

Anyone else have anything they'd like to add in the way of good things that happened this year?
