I heard this last night. Compellingly awful, I listened right through. It was interesting to hear that someone had written a radio melodrama based on a Vaughan Williams/Cecil Sharp character, but everything about the actual play was unmitigatingly terrible. Unconvincing dialogue (formal arguments/debating points cut'n'pasted from textbooks and shoved in the mouths of its characters). Unconvincing plot. Regional accents that kept on slipping. Periodic bouts of those heavy sighing sounds that characters in Radio 4 dramas always make when they're snogging/shagging. Some wince-inducing singing. Topped off with a cheesy ending.
