Freeman & Lange was one of those short-lived musical duos whose work is eternally memorable. (Some others are Loggins & Messina, Seals & Crofts, Brewer & Shipley, Chad & Jeremy, Simon & Garfunkel. It's a long list.) "Northern Lights" dates from 1975. I heard it in Iowa in the late 1970s. In my memory it's right up there with "Four Strong Winds" (Ian & Sylvia) and "Please Come To Boston" (Dave Loggins). I like an up-beat song as well as anybody; but a song doesn't have to be up-beat to be good. Incidentally, it can be found on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeT2HKRS88s
