I believe I heard early on in the rise of Rolling Home (like about 10+ years ago) that the 'Frost is on the hedgerow' verse was added later and written by John Tams at Roy Bailey's request, as in, please make the song longer. These days most folks I know here on the left coast sing the last verse So pass the bottle round And let the toasts go free It's a health to every laborer Where he or she may be Fair wages now and ever Let's reap what we have sown When we go rolling home (2X) Blessings Barbara
