eftifino Fiacre - French Song played often on BBC in '50s (7) French Song played often on BBC in '50s 30 Mar 13

Every time I hear 'Feelin' Groovy' by Simon and Garfunkel, I'm reminded of a song sung in French in the '50s and '60s on BBC Radio. It was a gentle song sounding as if the singer was trotting on a horse, and the only part of a line I remember is
" Ya ta Yata de da, Hopla' and 'beedleup, beedleup, beedleup bo."

Can anyone help with name, singer or if it can still be sourced?
