In the past Lizzie has supported Alasdair Roberts and Frankie Armstrong at The Goose, we're delighted to be offering her a headline gig at The Old Nun's Head.

With the release of her debut album Company of Ghosts in 2010, Lizzie's reputation as a captivating new voice in British folk has continued to grow. Produced by multi-instrumentalist Vidar Norheim, Company of Ghosts was nominated for Best Debut in the Spiral Earth Awards and won support from a diverse range of DJs including Radio 1's Rob da Bank and Radio 2's Mike Harding, who listed it in his top 10 albums of the year.

Lizzie has played at folk festivals and venues across the UK and has performed for sold out audiences at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and Belfast Waterfront Hall as part of The Irish Sea Sessions.

She is a also an award winning playwright and her most recent stage play The Swallowing Dark transferred from the Liverpool Playhouse to London's Theatre503 for a month long run. Her debut play Intemperance received a five star review in the Guardian, with Lizzie being described as 'Liverpool's modern day Ibsen'.
