"I thought the bush was "ayont(beyond)the bankie-o". Brankie-o as far as I know. That's certainly what I sing just about every week and that is what the Corries sing. Interestingly though in the "Complete Illustrated Poems, Songs and Ballads of Robert Burns" the last two verses (ie the Fye mackay and the Nae Shame verses) are missing. Don't know if these are later non-Burns verses or if he had these in some versions of his?
