A WILD CAT WOMAN AND A TOM CAT MAN
(recorded by Cliff Carlisle)

Wildcat woman and a tomcat man
Havin' a friendly fight
Wildcat woman said to tomcat man
"You been out tomcattin' all night."

Tomcat man said "That's a lie,
Prove it if you can."
He grabbed a chair and made a pass at her,
And then the fight began.

Turned over chairs and the washing tub,
Water all over the floor
Made a pass and broke the looking glass,
And bumped her head on the knob of the door.

The tomcat man fell over the stove,
Against the foot of the bed
And about that time a quart of milk
Skimmed his lousy head.

He looked up just in time
To see his wife go down
He made for the door but he hit the floor
And they went around and around and around.

She got the charley horse on him
You ought to heard him squall
He grabbed her by the hair of the head
And bumped her head against the wall.

She hit him in the head with a slat from the bed
And he staggered to his feet
He made a pass again and he hit her on the chin
And he knocked her out into the street.

Her nose was bleedin' and his eye was black,
Boys, it was a sight
Wildcat woman and a tomcat man
Put up a pretty good fight.
