Because of my bypass surgery in January of 2012, I only got out on skis once that winter/spring - about 20 minutes on cross country skis in the open field behind our house, when we had about a 3-inch snowfall in April, and I rushed out to get on skis before it melted. If I hadn't done that, it would have been the first winter since '56-'57 (I think) that I hadn't done any kind of skiing, either downhill or cross-country. This past winter I tallied 101 runs on the lower main chair at Pico, plus considerable cross-country on our local trails, in the early winter before the January thaw. Also, us Woodchucks have done some new recording, the first time since '99 and the first time with Mike Lussen, our new 4th member. We have a short sampler CD out, and are doing the rest of the songs for a full CD which we hope to have out for at least part of the summer season. I don't know if all that's good news or just bragging, but it's what I got. Peter
