Roberto Lyr Req: Destiny (Sons of the Pioneers) (4) RE: Lyr Req: Destiny (Sons of the Pioneers) 15 May 13

This is all I can get. I've put question marks where I can't understand or have doubts. Please, help. R

Destiny, there's no escape for any man
From the very day you're born, your destiny is planned
Destiny

A man rode into town one day
All dressed in summer (?) black
Three tombstones in his buckboard
And a shovel in his pack

He rode straight to the graveyard
And there he dug three holes
The headstones bore a message
To three departed souls

Destiny

What happened? - said a passerby
The man said: nothing yet
But three of us are going to die
Before the sun has set

One grave is for my woman
Who loved unfaithfully
The second's for her lover
And the other one's for me

Destiny, there's no escape for any man
From the very day you're born, your destiny is planned
Destiny

The man put down his shovel
And buckled on his guns
And laid there in the doorway
To face the fated ones

But in the eyes he (?)
The terror that he saw
It filled his heart with pity
And (?) he couldn't draw

Destiny

Then a gang of desperados
Descended on the town
And in the fight (?) that followed
The three of them went down

As the gunman laid there dying
His last words were said to be:
Nothing could have saved us
This was our destiny

Destiny, there's no escape for any man
From the very day you're born, your destiny is planned
Destiny, destiny, destiny …
