Hi, everyone. I heard a wonderful rendition of the Gaelic-language song 'An Cóisir' from the lovely young Neill Ní Chróinín (from September 2012) on LiveTrad's Youtube channel. It stongly reminds me of the kind of thing my grandfather used to sing around the place while working, and I'd love to learn it. I had read on TheSession that the slide 'The Toormore' was taken from this song, which is also known as 'An Chóisir' -- but I am having trouble finding lyrics to it, whether in Gaelic or a translation alongside. I feel I must be missing some common name of this song (as a song rather than as an instrumental), because it's hard to imagine a song with such a catchy tune being so far under the radar in Google searches... help me, Mudcatters, you're my only hope! Need lyrics, links to same or even (gasp) book references -- just wanna sing that mouth-music-y thing. Thanks in advance.
