"The Waltz You Saved For Me" was written by Wayne King---the bandleader known as The Waltz King. He was from the town of Savanna, Illinois--on the Mississippi River. (I had to tell passengers all about him when we'd go past Savanna when I was the folksinger on the steamboat Julia Belle Swain.(circa 1980s and '90s) Art Thieme
