Well, I'm pretty sure the most natural/authentic sound from an acoustic guitar, when amplified ( for concerts, recordings etc) are achieved using an external microphone. Plugged in "acoustic" guitars - using whatever amplified system - to my ears never sound "right"... but it doesn't seem to bother almost listeners!
