I live in a sheltered/care home in York, UK (Old York). We have an entertainment budget. Occasionally singers of mediocre talent come in, and get paid, for rushing through a few well-known party songs. It is usually nowt better than karaoke but it keeps the ancient and less mobile residents happy. I could do much better messen, and have done on occasions in impromptu sessions when I'm bored. Many years ago I was part of a couple of groups who used to get paid for doing such gigs. My question is, who's getting your entertainment budget? And if you haven't got one, why haven't you? Tone
