I have such great memories of Don so many years ago now. It was in the Badingham White Horse where he used to regularly sing that met him. It was the Queen's Silver Jubilee year and I arranged to use the pub as a base for a "round Suffolk" walk to raise money for charity. My final leg finished, quite fittingly, in the pub and Don had written and performed a song for me. I was so honoured. My only regret was that I heard it only the once. I would love to have had a recording.
