Hi Linn. I live in Alcester, near Stratford-upon-Avon in the middle of England but I do quite a bit of solo shanty (or chanty!) singing at many Shanty / Maritime Festivals all over the UK, eg in Falmouth, Harwich, Hull & Whitby, as well as in Australia, the Netherlands and New Zealand. I guess that I'd better get an early email to the organisers to be considered as a performer for next year's festival! Meanwhile, have a great festival this year!
