If only there was a "internet site sorter" LOL--to automatically get rid of the obsolete/non-existent sites, and group together all the info better...... Anyway...my trusty "Webster's Encyclopedic Unabridged Dictionary" says: pre-var-i-cate "to speak falsely or misleadingly; deliberately misstate or create an incorrect impression; lie"....derived from Latin meaning "to walk as if straddling".......and to look up "quibble", definition 1 says "a use of ambiguous, prevaricating, or irrelevant language or arguments to evade a point at issue." Interesting the English language and English language dictionaries! Mudcat is always fun!
