Michael: no shame in that, exactly the opposite. You're entitled to special memories of exceptional people, and thanks for sharing them. But wasn't it lovely to see Nic and Joe singing together. And would Nic's voice have been less wobbly had he not had the accident? He's a few years older than me, and we all start to go a bit reedy about now. Martin Carthy of course has adapted his singing to his voice micro- incrementally over his career, but Nic didn't have that continuity.
