It doesn't, and he does. I have plenty of friends who aren't folk fans in the broader sense, but own and love Penguin Eggs and one or two other seminal folk albums. Some music appeals to music fans, and transcends narrow genre barriers. Just as Steig Larsson, for example, appeals to people who don't generally read crime fiction.
