Joining the conversation late as usual...but that's appropriate in this case! I arrived at this year's Getaway MUCH later than I was hoping for due to work commitments, but managed to have plenty of fun in the time remaining. Luckily, I had already taken Monday off due to said work commitments, so I was able to make my Sunday night concert debut. In addition to the already-discussed "Denmark 1943", I sung "Humbug Steamship Companies" (John A. Stone), "Son of a Scoundrel" (Shel Silverstein), "Old Blevins" (Hank Card & Conrad Deisler), "Building Up and Tearing England Down" (Dominic Behan), "Molasses" (Tom Rowe), "Non Barleycorn", "When I Was a Boy" (Frank Hayes), and "Naked Highwayman" (Steve Tilston). Severn & Rita - Thanks for the kind words re: "Denmark 1943". I've loved that song since the first time I heard it back in the early/mid-90's. Before dusting it off for the Getaway I hadn't performed it in years. Will need to fix that! -- Gary
