I have the lp (or had it) of Danny Dill called "Folk Songs of the Wild West", which I think was released in 1960. He recorded Long Black Veil on it, and it sounds absolutely nothing like any of the other versions. I'm not sure if that's how he originally intended it to sound......but his version is pretty awful.
