Uncle Tone New Acoustic Singaround - York (1) New Acoustic Singaround - York 02 Nov 13

2nd & 4th Sundays. Tap & Spile, Monkgate (outside the walls).

The opening night of the New Fortnightly Free Acoustic Singaround at the Tap & Spile, Monkgate, York, 10th Nov 2013 8pm features FOSS. "The best of local acoustic music from trad to Jethro Tull!'. They are creating an acoustic storm wherever they perform (Hey! that could be a lyric!)

There are lots of open mike sessions in York, but you don't need a PA if your audience is willing to listen. We are. All welcome.

The first eight performers through the door will be guaranteed two two-song spots. The rest take pot luck, so please come early.

The pub has five brilliant real ales on tap. It isn't cheap, but they do run a loyalty scheme that gets you every 10th pint free! Ask for a card at the bar and make sure you get it stamped each time you buy a drink.

There is adequate parking behind the pub (entrance just before the pedestrian crossing).

Whilst we encourage singers of all genres, musicians are also welcome, but it won't be a musician's session, except maybe during the beer break. If you are looking for a musicians' session on a Sunday night, try the Golden Ball.

Direction: Travelling north along the eastern inner ring road by the walls past Morrisons and Sainos, turn right at the traffic lights for the Scarborough Road. The T&S is first pub on the left. If you cross the pedestrian crossing you have missed it.

See you there? Tone (Practising like mad!)
