It should be noted that Isaac Asimov himself was at pains to point out that the "Three Laws of Robotics" were in fact inadequate, and could all be circumvented in various ways. It was a fascinating and intriguing conundrum, as readers of "I Robot" and "The Rest of the Robots" will know. I tried to work out what extra component would make the elegantly constructed three laws unbreakable, and couldn't find any answer to it. As far as I know, Asimov himself didn't publish any adjustment for that purpose. Don T.
