Isn't it better to keep the singarounds and the musicians' sessions separate, either different nights at the same venue or different venues on the same night? York, and the surrounding area has several sessions and several singarounds, but I don't know of any sessions that welcome singers. I do know of singarounds where somebody offering a well-played tune in turn goes down OK, but most of the sessions frown on singers and see them as an interruption. At least one established session in York actually bans singing! Tone
