Haven't heard of 'em, LF, but they sound like a fun group! Have received an e-mail with a bit more detail, so thought I'd share it: Just a reminder about the Shakespeare's She Shanties weekend this coming weekend - November 16th/17th. The itinerary is as follows: Saturday 2pm-5pm: Sea Songs session to warm up the weekend (songs of the sea - maids on the shore, fishermen, sea monsters and whirlpools all welcome!) Saturday 8pm-11pm: She Shanties gig An evening of storming shanties, with support from Jerry Simon and Tegi and Sue. Tickets £5 on the door, or in advance from http://www.sheshanties.com/ Hopefully some late-night singing and carousing afterwards too (and possibly a wee tot of rum or three...) Sunday 3pm-5pm: Survivors shanty session to round off the weekend in fine maritime style! The sessions are free, and all of the events will be at Shakespeare's, Gibraltar Street, Sheffield, S3 8UB. Hopefully see some of you there - Haul em away!
