Hang on! Some time back we trawled through the Three Wise Men of Gotham (Notts) where one of my great-grannys came from. Now, with that heritage, (which includes a moonraking story among many others), another granny reputedly born in Halifax (no proof, but she definitely WAS born) of Irish stock, and with me, Derbyshire born, living in Yorkshire for 13 years - will I be mad enough? Does the fact that I can usually understand a Yorkshire dialect help? Andrea Derbyshire folk also lay claim to "strong i'th'arm and wick i'th'ead". "Wick" means "quick" - so there!
