Perhaps I should have been more effusive in my reasoning that the Billy Jack films stunk. It was a reaction to a rather large number of my Facebook pals opining that the Billy Jack films were pretty good. This, stacked alongside the combined works of Joan Fontaine, and Peter O'Toole, seemed I posted this in an area of Mudcat famous for its irreverence as a critique of the films, not of the man. I'd hoped to see a jokey exchange with those who either agreed or disagreed with me. Tom Laughlin never knew I existed during his 82 years life. I doubt very much if he would care about my opinion. I'll leave it to history to decide if I was a coward or a troll, or just a guy talking about a crappy movie. The Billy Jack films, like the Rambo and Bond films, were generally dumb stories strung together with explosions, random gunfire, the occasional sweaty babe, and a thin view of right and wrong. In fairness, I suppose that the same could be said about Lawrence of Arabia, except that there was only one woman in the film, and that didn't end well for her.
