Good memories here too. It was the first UK festival I ever attended. That was back in 2000. It was like discovering a whole new world! The Girvan festival is the perfect size too - plenty of music, sessions and song circles but small enough not to be overwhelming. It's a beautiful setting on the harbour with a good view of the Ailsa Craig. And, because of its location (not that far from the English border, and an easy ferry ride over from Ireland, it attracts musicians from all three areas (including Scotland, of course)so there's a great mix.
