Ha! Joe, you just reminded me of my first visit to New York. I lived in Denver at the time, but I had a friend who lived in Brooklyn, and she was letting me stay with her while we both attended a convention. One night, walking home, she started to get nervous, and I couldn't understand why. It was because she couldn't see anyone on the street but us! Whereas I was only nervous when I could see other people whose intentions I wasn't sure about. It's taken 12 years of living in Boston for me to come around to her point of view...
