I'm deeply sorry to hear that. I only knew her slightly and then only from fairly recently, but she was a character and a socialist to her bootstraps. Bloody good singer as well.

One puzzle I was never able to sort out. The last time we met she told me that she had collected songs in north west Scotland in the early 1950s. I think it might have been in conjunction with the School of Scottish Studies. I was hoping to fill in the details when next we met, but alas that is now not to be.

In any event, God help the scab or blackleg who tries to inveigle their way into the kingdom of heaven now.
