2014 celebrates the 40th Girvan Folk Festival, 2nd - 4th May. .. many will remember many of those years and the great folk performers who graced the stage at Girvan.. Other guests returning to their Girvan roots this year include The Stars Band (Charlie Soane, Brian Millar, Arthur Johnstone and Gavin Livingstone), Chris Miles, Ellen & Kevin Mitchell, The Tattiehowkers Ceilidh Band, while newcomers include Young Scots Musician of the year for 2013 Robyn Stapleton, and Fiona Hunter. Colin McAllister & Frances Logan continue Girvan's long tradition of storytelling - the longest storytelling history of any folk festival... .
