@Jim, I'm not being facetious here, it's a genuine question: do you think the decline in the popularity of folk clubs really had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the decline of the popularity of folk as a popular musical genre then? Do you ascribe that to pure coincidence? You think that if all folk clubs had continued to present nothing but traditional folk songs we would still have a thriving folk club scene, packing 'em in every week?
