Hi, Skarpi. I read the article that you linked in your first post. First, let me say that it's from the 'Daily Mail,' and that paper does not have a good reputation. They famous for trying to scare people. Reading carefully, I see that only one scientist is quoted. I also see that sometimes Hekla's eruptions are major and sometimes they are short and small. Also, sometimes the media have predicted eruptions which never actually occurred. My information may be out of date, (you can check this) but I think the time to worry is when there are 'harmonic tremors.' These occur when water vapor in the lava starts to come out and start moving around. For some reason, harmonic tremors mean "she's going to blow!" So keep on the alert, but don't lose any sleep over this volcano.
