They were trying something to see if anything about humans being present affected test results. Whether you approve of basic animal testing or not, it is easy to see why he was concerned. The injections in mice feet was 'relatively' mild testing.... still more than you would approve of, but far from the worst. The discovery that male scents cause more problems will no doubt 'help' design ANY tests. I do wish that studies in bio-chemical research and computer modeling would gradually reduce the use of animal testing in most research.,..but... *shrug*
