As in various times in the past, some things about the technology and strain on the servers mean that Max has to regularly 'kick the tires' and re-boot...or whatever..... when he is actually home. It is kinda amazing that he has actually kept this much stuff going for 17 years. Awhile back he posted this Chartbeat link that tracks the usage patterns. I 'think' it shows that the site gets lots of traffic. It was suggested above that Penn State's servers are involved. Perhaps so... I don't think it's certain. I do wish he'd explain a bit more what is happening... but shrug. Life treats us all differently.
