Yikes, I didn't know it was that poisonous, and have been in the habit of simply peeling greened potatoes very thickly - but have never had as much of a twinge of stomach upset. I'm always very careful about things when that has happened. Cucumbers that have gone a bit soft are horrendous. (My Dad had a notice up in the kitchen - "NO CUCUMBER". My Nana had once eaten some in the kitchen while preparing a meal, had to go to hospital, and my mother had the police investigating to see if she had poisoned her!) Penny
