I'm glad you said something, gnu. It's frustrating for all of us, maybe more frustrating to finally get into Mudcat and be hit in the face with stupid people fighting about stupid things, but not everyone is on the internet looking for good things and friends.

I understand if it got too bad to keep trying. It can be as frustrating trying to get threads to load with an overburdened server as it would be to have fun with a friend who's always sick.

Max is having server problems, and being Max, doesn't ask for money to help fix it.

Lots of people have given money over the years, some more than others, and I'm absolutely sure gnu has been one of the more generous contributors.

Hardware and software become outdated and obsolete, and more people reading and posting to more threads means Max needs as server that can handle the volume. It wouldn't bother me if he cut 'BS' to the curb and let somebody else host the Mudcat Fight Club, but he doesn't want to.

I wish I had a load of spare money, although if everyone who posts regularly could send $20, it would probably help him a lot.
