I thought that Germany had to work extremely hard to go through. Algeria made some fantastic counter attacking moves but just lacked the skill and prowess of a goal scorer. I never felt that Germany would lose as they had most of the control of the game. They made lots of chances - Mueller missed at least three chances he would normally take.
I think that Algeria were getting more tired as 90 minutes approached and was confident that extra time would see off the gallant Algerians.
In tonight's games I think Argentina will be too hot to handle for Switzerland. Belgium I feel have not yet produced the form that I expected of them. They have some really fine players and maybe tonight they will show what they can do - I am expecting them to win.
