Personally, I think the best folk UK folk show is BBC Merseyside's Folkscene. They have Emily Portman presenting it once a fortnight, and the music she plays is closest to my taste (she keeps the middle-of-the-road fluff to a minimum and plays people like Mary Hampton and Alasdair Roberts and Cath & Phil Tyler).
