I first met Lulu Belle, on 1936/1937. I was 4/5 years old. She was performing, on stage, at L.S. Ayres Department Store, in Indianapolis. She went 'out of her way', to be nice to me - even carrying me up on stage. Over the years, we purchased all of her recordings (unfortunately, most are on LP, and Cassette - sure wish I had a way to get them copied to CD.) I 'corresponded' with her, for many years (1960's, to 1990's). She was a Wonderful Performer - and, mostly, a Wonderful Person. In my opinion, there's never been another like her. (Kitty Wells, and Wilma Lee Cooper, were close)
