No, NO, No! Everybody knows morris dancing was invented by John Kirkpatrick in the early 1970's. Apparently he had a melodeon, and there was nowhere for him to play it, so he made himself an opportunity. It spread far and wide, and gave lots of opportunities for melodeon players to 'perform'
It was so good he invented it again in Shrophire!
