Something like sixty years ago, I heard Carl Sandburg sing (on television) what he described as "the shortest blues song". Papa loved Mama, Mama loved Men, Mama's in the graaave yaaard, Papa's in the pen. I still think Garth Brooks should be convicted of blasphemy for using that as the chorus of a longer song.
