Musket asks if it isn't hypocrisy.. of course it is for many.... but for others it is simply not bothering to look directly at the things that Don Firth refers to. If you skim past awkward passages and allow your 'expert' theologians to 'interpret' them and assure you they are not important, *shrug* "'When I use a word translate and interpret a manuscript,' Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, 'it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.'"
